Flexible working checklist and letters (Northern Ireland)
MS WordV3 April 2024
Flexible working can be agreed on an ad hoc and informal basis. If an employee wants longer term, more formal arrangements, this is a change in their terms of employment and so should be considered in detail, formally agreed and recorded.
In this document we explain what flexible working is and give you a checklist of things to think about. We also give you a template flexible working policy and template letters to respond to an employee who requests flexible working on a formal basis.
Use this document with your internal employees only. Please note that this document is for use in Northern Ireland only.
