Document timeline ‒ PAYE workers

Employment businesses (EBs) must give a number of documents to work-seekers at different stages of their relationship. This guide shows you what documents an EB must give and when. Depending on turnaround times, you may give some of the documents within a short space of time.

Use this timeline when directly engaging temporary workers (PAYE). We will produce different versions for when the individual works through a personal services company (PSC) and works through another intermediary such as an umbrella company. Please keep copies of all documents for the appropriate period ‒ see the REC's record keeping table.
