Every year we survey REC members across the UK to bring you the latest figures for the value and size of the staffing industry and the number of people we place into work.  
   
2023/24 has undoubtedly been a challenging year for the UK recruitment industry. Faced with economic pressures, political uncertainty, and the rapid pace of change in the world of work, we've had to navigate a constantly evolving landscape.  
   
Yet, as we close out the year, we see reasons for hope as clients start to feel more confident. The market has always been tough but it will swing back, as it always does.
