REC Signs New Deal with Insurance Broker Jelf
Press releases
The Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) is extending its partnership with Jelf for the next five years to provide REC members with a unique insurance offering.
Jelf is an award-winning independent insurance broker with over 30 years’ experience in the recruitment sector. As part of the deal, the REC approved insurance partner will give REC members a minimum 10 per cent discount on equivalent insurance available to non-members.
REC Chief Executive Kevin Green says:
“With their high levels of experience across the wide breadth of the recruitment industry, we’re delighted to extend our long term partnership with Jelf. Guarding against risk is essential in our line of work, so using a reputable company who understands our industry and can provide advice tailored to your company is not just a comfort, but a necessity. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Jelf over the next five years to deliver great deals to REC members on products that can really benefit their business.”
Jelf can offer recruiters a number of insurance products that reflect the risks now facing the industry. New emerging issues such as cyber-crime can be covered with a cyber insurance policy, created to protect against data loss and reputational damage from employees or hackers.
Other covers increasingly required, such as professional indemnity insurance, can help protect a recruitment organisation’s reputation if they provide poor advice. Cover for high-risk placements commonly made by recruiters includes drivers’ negligence, medical malpractice and both offshore and international cover. Recruiters can also insure against issues with tax investigation and tax protection. All REC members can benefit from a tailored solution reflecting their specific requirements.
Jelf Managing Director of Schemes and Affinities Paul Buckle says:
“We are extremely happy to be retained by the REC for another five years as their preferred insurance broker partner, building on the success of the existing insurance scheme. Recruitment is an ever changing landscape and as the REC’s approved insurance partner, Jelf is uniquely positioned to utilise the extensive knowledge of its recruitment insurance teams to ensure a comprehensive level of insurance protection for recruitment firms of all sizes.”
