REC Named One of UK’s Best Not-For-Profit Organisations to Work For by Sunday Times

The Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) has been recognised as one of the 100 Best Not-For-Profit Organisations to Work For in the Sunday Times and best companies annual rankings published this weekend.  The REC finished 44 out of 100 in the Best Not-for-profit category alongside well-known names such as the National Trust, Unicef and the Royal College of Nursing. The professional body, which employs 73 staff, was recognised for providing good work life balance via a core hours policy, gender diversity within its management team and providing private healthcare cover for all staff.

Commenting on the achievement chief executive Kevin Green says:

“We believe that being a great place to work goes hand in hand with providing a great service to our members. People get to make a choice about where they work and if they don’t feel valued they can vote with their feet. We have a lot of long-serving staff and I think that speaks volumes for how we aspire to treat people. I’m grateful my staff come in everyday committed to work together to build the best recruitment industry in the world here in the UK.”

The REC already holds Investors in People (Silver) and Service Mark accreditation.

In addition to the REC being recognised, 34 recruitment companies featured in the top 100 entries on this year’s 100 Best Small Companies To Work For list.
