Chris Moore Elected Chair of the REC

President of group operations at Adecco Group UK and Ireland Chris Moore has been elected chair of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) council, replacing Simon Noakes. 

Chris has worked in the industry for over 20 years, including eight years in senior leadership positions at the Adecco Group. Chris has been a member of the REC council since 2013, and is a member of the REC’s Future of jobs commission launched this week.

 

Chris Moore said:

“I’ve been in recruitment for most of my working life and I’ve seen the REC grow in influence and importance to the industry. I’m delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to the REC vision, to help guide the organisation forward and to add value to members by providing strategic and tactical insight. I’m looking forward to working with the rest of the council, and with Kevin and his team to help our industry become even more successful.” 

REC chief executive Kevin Green said:

The election was the first act of the new REC council, following the appointment of seven new non-executive directors at the organisation’s AGM yesterday. 

We also welcome on to our working board Sarah Thewlis, managing director of Thewlis Graham Associates as chair of employment policy committee, and Gary Irvine, founder and managing director at 4c Executive Search as chair of finance.

The Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) council consists of up to 17 directors who are representatives of corporate members and up to seven directors who are representatives of individual members of the IRP, appointed either by the membership at the Annual General Meeting of the REC or by the council itself during the course of the year as vacancies arise.
