You’ve done it! You’ve been shortlisted, and you think it might just be your year to take home the big prize.

But what do you do between now and the awards evening in December to utilise your shortlisted status?

1. You can wait around to see if you’ve won, and then go out loud and proud about it.

OR

2.  You realise that being shortlisted has its own marketing and promotional opportunities, and it's a great idea to make the most of them.

We break down some of what you can do to capitalise your shortlisted status - regardless of what happens on 6 December.

1. Take a selfie, boomerang or video with your shortlisted pack

Everyone shortlisted will be receiving a very exciting package in the mail from us to celebrate your success, so make sure you get involved and use it! We want to see how excited you are about being recognised as the best in our industry. You've got a load of exciting props to use, so use them! Whether you go traditional with a selfie, kick it up a notch with a video or even play with boomerang, we want to see it! Remember to use #IRPAwards when you're posting them on your social channels.

2. Put your official 'shortlisted' logo everywhere!

On your website, email signature, social media profiles, presentations, video introductions - anything and everything! This is a simple way of making sure all those who come across you or your brand will see you've been shortlisted for the most prestigious industry award around.

3. Create a blog or press release

We love to talk about our achievements, so don't miss the chance to shout about it in a blog or a press release. We supply you with a press release template you can use to help you craft this. If you're writing a blog, why not make it more about topics related to the award category - for example, if you're shortlisted for the Jobs transform lives: Best Candidate Experience Award, you could write about a great candidate success story you had and tie it to the award. Use it as a launchpad to tell stories about the great work you do.

4. Talk about it on social media

Along with making use of your amazing shortlisted selfie prop pack, we give you a social media image you can use on your profiles. When tweeting, writing a Facebook update or posting on Instagram make sure to use the #IRPAwards hashtag and mention us (@IRPAwards/@IRProfessionals/@rec_irp) so we can retweet, like or repost you and help raise your profile.

It's a huge achievement to be shortlisted for an IRP Award. You're among the best in the industry

Remember to share this on your social channels. You can follow us on Twitter and Instagram, and like us on Facebook.
