What Do I Think of Recruiters? - Kevin Green, CEO of Recruitment and Employment Confederation.

So this is my objective view on why I love the people in our industry....It's simple.
They do something really important but don't take themselves too seriously.
They improve people's lives but just see it as their job.
They make things happen but can see the value of reflection.
They are energetic but know it's persistence that delivers the bacon.
They talk and talk and talk but learn that listening is the most important part of what they do.
They want results but recognise it is measuring the inputs that delivers great outputs.
They like people but know a great recruiter is as much about understanding organisations as it is about people.

All in all we underestimate the people in our industry and I am fed up to the back teeth of people outside of recruitment saying it's easy it's just selling!
I love recruiters, because we underestimate the power of doing what we do well.
So let's change the perception of what we do, this is a professional services industry but we must start with ourselves first let's talk up rather than down what we are and what we do.
I am proud to be called a Recruiter
