Deep Impact: What We Achieved at the IRP in 2014
Your recruitment career
Our goal at the IRP has always been to raise the standards of our industry – we want to make it a career of choice. We’re proud of the impact we’ve had and are excited to see it continue.
It’s a thrill to see the statistics and feedback that show what our hard work means to our members. With the release of the REC Impact Report 2014, these results are clear.
So what did we say we’d do at the IRP in 2014?
In 2014 we wanted to continue to build the IRP as the leading membership body for recruitment professionals in the UK. We want to build an active community, and place strong emphasis on career development through our qualifications.
We want IRP members to demonstrate best practice and provide the highest service to clients and candidates.
And how did we do?
We saw a 22 per cent growth in membership over the last year. Our membership now sits at more than 7,000 recruitment professionals.
Enrolments in our qualifications increased by 12 per cent as more recruiters choose to commit to professional development. We had 1,087 students take IRP qualifications in 2014, compared with 970 in 2013.
Not only did we see more enrolments, but we launched a brand new Level 2 apprenticeship aimed at recruitment resourcers.
We’ve also seen an increase in the pass rate for our qualifications, which now sits at 86 per cent.
We’re proud of our social channels and 2014 saw a 25 percent increase in followers. We now have around 16,000 people engaging with us through social media.
So, with an end goal of making recruitment a career of choice, we’re going in the right direction.
