Steeped in history and with an enviable track record of success, Lancashire Cricket Club was formed in 1864 and is one of eighteen first class counties within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales.
Our home, Emirates Old Trafford, is an award-winning world-class venue that has played host to some of cricket’s most iconic moments and biggest sporting events, including six ICC Cricket World Cup fixtures in 2019 and Ashes Test Matches, as well as world class concerts by artists including Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Rihanna and Foo Fighters. Having undergone a transformational redevelopment over the last decade it is now recognised as one of the UK’s most prestigious venues for sport, business, leisure and entertainment.
The Lancashire Cricket Foundation works across Lancashire to develop and deliver a range of projects, programmes and events designed to increase participation levels in the game. Established as the official charity of Lancashire Cricket, it provides high quality cricket experiences that make a positive difference to the lives of the individuals it engages with, and is designated as the local governing body for all recreational cricket in the County by the national governing body, The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
