Challengers

At Challengers we have a vast team of enthusiastic and passionate Play and Youth Workers and volunteers across the South East that help us challenge the barriers to play for disabled children and young people.

As well as making sure that they create a safe environment that enables disabled children and young people to have fun, make friends and try out cool new activities, they are a key part of ensuring that we are a highly visible presence in the communities that we work in.

At any one time, we can have up to 500 members of staff working across our schemes, and each year we recruit an average of 200 new workers.

We also have an office team based at our HQs in Guildford and Farnham that work hard to ensure that we deliver inclusive and high-quality play and leisure opportunities.

Some of the benefits of working/volunteering at Challengers

By working or volunteering at one of our schemes and playing with disabled children and young people, you are making a tangible difference in breaking down the barriers to play in your local community.

You will be working alongside a team that will work hard to make sure that no one is excluded from the opportunity to play at a scheme.

We will help you to understand disability through our high-quality training, which will allow you to challenge the perception of disability in society.
