Boots Opticians opened its first practice in 1983 in Nottingham and has since gone onto become one of the leading optical chains in the UK.
In 2009 Boots Opticians merged with Dollond & Aitchison. This merger harnesses over 250 years of optical experience, bringing together the strong heritage and focus on customer service of both brands, to offer great value and quality through even better services and products. As part of the merger all stores will trade under the Boots Opticians name. We now have over 600 Boots Opticians practices nationwide, with over 180 practices operating as a Franchise.
